So here we are, in 2017. It has been a very long time since we were in a Palm OS world, but that sort of thing just doesn't deter me in the slightest. In fact, just the opposite.
You may know that I also run palmsounds.net, which has always been focused on mobile music creation. Of course, when that started back in 2006 mobile music was about Palm OS and Windows Mobile. All that's changed though, and these days it's mostly about iOS with a few other interesting things around the periphery. That in itself is a shame.
So why am I telling you this? That's a good question, it's because I am growing very tired of the current mobile world and as a result I want to conduct an experiment. I'm going to see if I can use old style tech, like Palm OS and Windows Mobile to do a lot of the things that I normally do on iOS and, very occasionally on Android too.
As you can imagine, this isn't going to be easy. It may take some time just to get set up, but if nothing else it'll be an interesting journey, and I hope it'll turn up good results. I'll let you be the judge of that.
So watch out for posts about what I'm doing, where it's going, and how I can get some old tech to do things that our shiny new devices do today, or even, just maybe, a little bit more. We shall see ...
