Griff (sampler)

Actually from the perspective of Griff's overall functionality the sampler was always a little bit limited in my view, but still very worth using.

Bird: Resource maker for Palm OS

I've used this for creating resources for Palm software for a long time now, but it's worth a mention as it's a pretty amazing tool if you're making an Palm app, which of course isn't going to be the case for very many people anymore.

Bird allows you to create all kinds of resources, from menus, strings (think help etc) to bitmaps, dialogs and more. But over and above that it allows you to reuse resources by copying them from one resource database to another, which is incredibly handy.

What a great tool.

A little flash loop player for my Clie

I think that the idea was it should launch samples etc, but again the little clie processor couldn't really handle it.

Retro Palm Stuff on CDM

I posted about this at Palm Sounds, but in case you missed it there, or don't read Palm Sounds, and mostly because I want to mention it I thought I'd post a link to my guest post on CDM about Palm OS and Windows Mobile music tools.

Have a read and get some retro music making going.

More Sony Clie Flash stuff

This one doesn't do too much, but it is making a sound somewhere along the line, which is ok.

Some very old flash stuff running in the Clie flash player

I think it was only Sony who put flash players in their PDAs. This is something I found that I made using flash a very long time ago.

BeatPad screens ...

This is a great gif showing all the screens in BeatPad from miniMusic. I still play with this on various Palm PDAs.

Getting the Clie going

Such an awesome device, such amazing capabilities! Had to get it going again.

BeatPad: Using GM and Krikit sounds

Interesting to compare the difference between the GM sounds built into the Zodiac 2, and the Krikit engine sounds.
